HBO Brazil launched ‘Hard,’ new sitcom about porn industry

HBO Brazil launched a new half-hour comedy titled Hard, setting inside an online production company. The first episode is now also available for viewing in the United States using HBO’s online services, such as HBO GO.

Hard is based on the french sitcom with the same title, aired in 2008. In the original series the protagonist, Sophie, is a retired lawyer. She believed herself married to the owner of a relatively successful software company. Soon after his death, she discovers that her husband lied about his line of work. He was actually active in the porn industry, and her inheritance comes in the form of a financially-struggling production company. Now she must adapt to an industry unfamiliar to her and conceive ways to make this company profitable.

Here the official trailer from the new brasilian version:

  1. HBO is so obsessed with the porn industry.
Even more so after banning softcore from the network and Cinemax.

Guessing if the conglomerates show tits it’s artistic!

  2. Brazil actually produced some pretty enjoyable softcore TV cheesecake until a few years ago like “Cidade Nua”, “Caravana”, “Malicia”, “Casa Bonita” but those shows seem to be near impossible to access for foreigners without a corresponding brazilian isp contract/account. Same with the playboytv latin america&europe shows.
